Orange grabs exclusive for prepay BlackBerry Curve

(MOBILE TODAY) - Orange has grabbed the exclusive for the launch of the Blackberry Curve 8900 on pay-as-you-go.

The Curve will be priced at £249.99, and the network is also offering new customers taking a prepay BlackBerry six months of free email and web browsing. After this time, customers can take out Orange’s pay-as-you-go BlackBerry internet service for £5 per month on a rolling monthly subscription.

The BlackBerry Curve is the thinnest and lightest full-QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone and features a 480×360 pixel display, is fully equipped with GPS, Wi-Fi, a 3.2-megapixel camera that can also record video, and has an expandable memory slot supporting up to 16GB.

Pippa Dunn, director of Pay As You Go at Orange UK, said: ‘We were the first to launch the BlackBerry Pearl on pay-as-you-go in the UK and we’re delighted to extend our range to include the BlackBerry Curve 8900 - the first BlackBerry with a full QWERTY keyboard on prepay.
